I can remember asking Shelly to ask Bob if he could help me with a legal referral. When I spoke with the lawyer he referred me to, one thing he said of Bob that I will never forget is that he’s “Scarey Smart.” I always figured that as so because he married Shelly…they have raised fine fine kids as well! Your Humanitarianism will be missed immensely!

I knew Bob several years ago as a neighborhood family with daughters in similar grades as ours. My first and lasting memory of Bob will always be walking into the entry of their home in Torrey Hills and seeing the 6 or more foot long Christmas stockings he had made for each of his family hanging along the banister all the way down into the first floor! When Shelley told me Bob had made them, I took a second look and knew this was a Dad with a love for fun and silly things in life, incredible creativity and a heart of gold! I was in awe!
